Maria believes that NCAN is an important organization that many people rely on for critical information, advice and resources for their NET/Carcinoid Disease. She has had personal dealings with NCAN before joining the Advisory Council, while being a caregiver for her mother-in-law who was diagnosed with Carcinoid in December 2007. She attended many NCAN-sponsored conferences and has always been amazed at how much information these events have to share with patients and caregivers. NCAN has been a very valuable resource that she and her family could count on. Maria is honored to be a part of the Advisory Council where she can help others in the NET community.
