DUE TO BAD WEATHER THIS WALK IS NOW A VIRTUAL EVENT.
Unfortunately, the weather report keeps getting worse for both Saturday and Sunday, with the latest update calling for 2 to 4 inches of rain, 20 mile an hour winds and an 85% probability of the storm hitting when the walk is scheduled. AccuWeather forecasters are warning that this coastal storm will be a tropical rainstorm and may even strengthen into a depression or subtropical storm. Outdoor events like the “Bellmore Street Fair”, “Syosset/Woodbury Fair” and others have been canceled.
Instead of coming to Eisenhower Park, we are asking that everyone treat this as a virtual event and pick a suitable time and place to Show Your Stripes! Please take pictures and post them on social media and tag us @netcanceraware.
As a virtual walker, you’ll join hundreds of other participants all walking for the same cause. The great thing about a virtual walk is that you can participate at any time and from anywhere! Once registered for the walk, you can choose the date, time and location that works for you. Then, join other walkers online by sharing photos and videos to your social media. Celebration of Life Gala
It is with great pleasure that the Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network’s Board of Directors invites you to join us at the 20th Anniversary ‘Celebration of Life’ Gala. It’s an evening of sharing- with Dinner, Cocktails, Dancing, a Silent Auction and Raffles. Funds raised will benefit neuroendocrine cancer patients and get us one step closer to a cure!

• $25 provides supplies to a patient support group for a month
• $50 supplies a comprehensive patient information packet to a neuroendocrine cancer patient, ensuring that the patient will be a good advocate for his/her care
• $100 from 20 donors sends an expert to provide urgently needed information at a patient conference
• $200 keeps the patient hotline open for a month
• $500 sponsors a patient to attend a regional patient conference
• $1,000 sponsors a doctor to learn more about neuroendocrine cancer and earn CME credits
• $2,000 starts the ball rolling toward a regional patient conference
